Postpartum Care
Many parents are shocked by how difficult this stage is. There are so many ways birth can crack us wide open, mind, body and soul. It’s why postpartum healing is a critical time to gently “close” and put those pieces of ourselves back together. Some elements of a supported healing phase include:
Mind, Body & Soul Food
The transition to sleepless nights is a lot smoother with a warm meal, fresh fruit and a warm, friendly shoulder to lean on. Plan ahead for your overall recovery.
Space to Bond
With freshly prepared meals, and an extra pair of hands, give yourselves space to exhale and bond as a family.
Time to Heal
30-40 days is considered a standard of initial healing for newly birthed families across many cultures and generations.
Wide Open Space.
After birth, many mother’s remain open—mind, body and soul—longer than they anticipated.
Your ability to know what to do, how to do it, who to call on, what to eat...is not as sharp.
Rightfully so!
You are new, just like your baby.
Postpartum Companionship
In-Home Support After Birth
Starting at $600 (3 visits)
Postpartum is a sacred season of healing—body, mind, and spirit. It is a time for gently “closing” after birth and allowing being knit back together as you step into this new calling of parenthood. For some families, support looks like nourishing meals prepared with care—which is one less essential need met! For others, it’s simply having a trusted pair of hands to hold the baby while you shower, nap, or find a quiet moment with the Lord in the midst of transition.
Welcoming a baby reshapes everything. Having the steady, faith-filled presence of a helper can ease that shift from family of two to family with a newborn. You don’t have to walk this tender path alone. My in-home support packages provide local* families with both practical care and the spiritual encouragement that make all the difference in those first fragile weeks:
3 home visits: $600
6 home visits: $1,100
12 home visits: $2,200
Welcome Back Plan
Postpartum Planning Sessions: $95
You are a new being; freshly born right along with your baby. Many couples forget to think about what happens after baby arrives and can be very overwhelmed with life after birth. Prepare for the healing phase with a postpartum planning session. We’ll work together to develop your “welcome back” plan. Each plan is unique to you, but most include: a list of support people, plans for (delegating) meals, strategy for slow and steady physical movement and moments to tap back into YOU.
If you’d like to move forward after our alignment call—scroll up to schedule yours—0you will be sent the registration form. After these are completed and you’ve submitted payment, you’re officially booked. Look out for a welcome email from me and feel free to communicate with me if you have any questions or concerns.
Many folks confuse the term “postpartum” with postpartum mood disorders like postpartum depression, anxiety or obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). When someone is “postpartum,” it simply means they are in the healing stage after birth and delivery of their baby and placenta.
Regardless of whether you have experienced a live birth, stillbirth or sudden loss, you are still postpartum. You need the physical, mental and emotional nourishment this phase calls for.
No. While I bring my valuable lived experiences as a mother of 2, childbirth educator training, knowledge from continuing education classes—and most importantly—my passion to serve new families to this work, I do not currently hold any certificates with a postpartum doula training organization.
I prepare one nutritious dish for each visit. If you’d like more than this, I will charge only for the groceries needed for said meal along with any requested light grocery shopping.
Yes, but…I am not a lactation consultant. I can offer basic guidance on the foundation of breastfeeding and tips to support a healthy start. However, I strongly recommend that you find a lactation professional that can support you with a deeper knowledge of breastfeeding. Its definitely worth every penny and is often reimbursable by most insurance companies!
No. For a 24 hour period, I offer (1) 4-hour visit. For example, I can’t provide two back-to-back visits totaling 8 hours. This ensures I’m coming into your space refreshed and ready to pour into YOU.
No, not at this time.
If I am ill, have an emergency, or am otherwise unable to make a scheduled visit, we will work to reschedule it as soon as possible.
I do not offer housekeeping services. While I’m happy to do light tidying up for new families, my primary role is to support the new parent as they rest, heal and bond.
