About
Well Worth Watering
Meet Lou-Ann
I’m glad you’ve found your way here. ❤
Birth work found me after my own transformative experiences of becoming a mother. Like you, I wear many hats. As a childbirth educator, breastfeeding specialist, and birth & postpartum doula, I integrate preparation, labor support, and restorative care into one cohesive experience because I understand the value of continuous care.
Some say birth has a way of cracking us wide open, revealing strength and grace we didn’t know we carried. My two births—one an induced hospital birth, the other a planned home birth—each taught me something about resilience, faith, and the power of support. These lessons continue to guide my work as I navigate the beautiful ebbs and flows of motherhood, service and my walk as a believer.
I believe in life-affirming introspection, and in creating spaces where stories can be shared and held with tenderness. Along with my husband and children, I make my home in Northern Virginia.
Support grounded in evidence.
Presence with reverence.
Care rooted in rest.
They need guidance. They need steadiness. They need space to rest.
Well Worth Watering celebrates the anticipation and transformation of birth by nurturing families through every stage of the childbearing year. I work closely with families in Northern Virginia, providing birth classes, birth and postpartum doula care, and lactation support tailored to the unique needs of each parent and child. For those outside of NoVa or in the greater Metro DC area, my online childbirth classes bring evidence-based education, reflective exercises, and practical tools into homes across the country.
Whether you’re preparing for your first birth, navigating the postpartum season, or seeking guidance on breastfeeding and infant care, I’m here to walk alongside you—offering encouragement, education, and thoughtful support every step of the way.
And so is the season you are stepping into.
